Self-discipline isn't about forcing yourself harder — it's about designing a life where the right thing is the easy thing. Over 7 days, guided by Michelle B's videos, you'll pick one project that matters, redesign your environment so good habits happen almost by default, break the shame→procrastination cycle, rebuild motivation step by step, and cut the mindless scrolling that eats your week. Each day: one video and one mission under 15 minutes. By day 7, you'll run a full day on your new system — and it will feel gentle, not gritted-teeth.

Day by day, in detail

Day 1🎬 ✍️ Watch the unusual guide to self-discipline +1

🎬 Watch the unusual guide to self-discipline

▶ Michelle B · An Unusual Guide to Building Self-Discipline

✍️ Pick your one project and act on it today

✍️ Choose ONE thing you keep meaning to do but keep putting off — your discipline project for this week (e.g. a morning workout, a side project, studying). Write down why it actually matters to you, then name the smallest possible version of it you can do in the next hour. Not tomorrow — today. Small and done beats big and imaginary.

Day 2🎬 ✅ See how Michelle designs her life around good habits +1

🎬 See how Michelle designs her life around good habits

▶ Michelle B · I Designed My Life to Make Good Habits Easier

Redesign one corner of your environment

  • I identified the exact spot where my project happens (desk, gym bag, kitchen…)
  • I removed one thing that makes the wrong behavior easy (temptation out of sight)
  • I added one thing that makes the right behavior obvious (gear laid out, tab open, note visible)
  • I set a fixed time-and-place cue: "At [time], in [place], I do [tiny version]"
Day 3🎬 📓 Understand the shame→procrastination cycle +1

🎬 Understand the shame→procrastination cycle

▶ Michelle B · The shame→procrastination cycle

📓 Open your procrastination log

📓 This log is your main tool for the rest of the week. Every time you catch yourself avoiding your project, come here and write it down — no judgment. The point isn't to catch yourself failing; it's to interrupt the shame spiral. Naming the avoidance kindly is what breaks the cycle, because shame is the fuel procrastination runs on.

Day 4🎬 🔁 Learn the 6 steps to get motivated again +1

🎬 Learn the 6 steps to get motivated again

▶ Michelle B · How to Get Motivated Again in 6 Steps

🔁 Do your 10-minute starter block

🔁 I worked on my project for at least 10 minutes today — starting before I felt ready

Day 5🎬 ✅ Steal Michelle's tactics for scrolling less +1

🎬 Steal Michelle's tactics for scrolling less

▶ Michelle B · Everything I'm doing to scroll less

Put friction between you and the scroll

  • I identified my #1 time-sink app (check your screen time — don't guess)
  • I made it harder to reach: logged out, moved off the home screen, or deleted it for the week
  • I chose one scroll-trigger moment (waking up, queues, bathroom) and picked a replacement for it
  • I set up one phone-free zone or hour for the rest of the challenge
Day 6✍️ Read your log and write your comeback rule

✍️ Read your log and write your comeback rule

✍️ Open your procrastination log and look for the pattern: when do you avoid your project, and what feeling shows up right before? Then write your comeback rule — one if-then sentence you'll use from now on: "If I catch myself avoiding, then I [2-minute version], no shame attached." This one sentence is what you keep after the challenge ends.

Day 7🎯 Final mission: one full day on your system

🎯 Final mission: one full day on your system

🎯 Run one entire day on the system you built this week — designed environment, starter block, low scroll, zero shame.

Today you don't rely on willpower once. Follow your time-and-place cue, do your starter block (stay longer if it feels good — it usually does), keep the friction on your time-sink app, and if you slip, use your comeback rule instead of beating yourself up. At the end of the day, post your proof: what you got done, how many times you restarted kindly, and how different this feels from forcing it a week ago. That's the reset — gentle, and it works. 🌱
